Synopsis

Easy Eddie is the kind of guest you hope never comes back: a rude, chili-dog-hating, pickpocketing ferret. Sonic saves him from a trap Scratch and Grounder have set (for once, not for Sonic) and is rewarded with insults – and when Eddie leaves, so does Tails’ lucky coin.
Robotnik wants him for a reason. Eddie has pinched the doctor’s Chaos Emerald ring, the most powerful emerald on Mobius; set into an altar in the Special Zone, it would let Robotnik sink whole countries. The snag is that the ring is stuck fast on the thief’s finger. Professor Von Schlemmer’s gadgets cannot shift it until an accident does, and Eddie promptly steals it back and sells it to Robotnik for a zillion Mobiums – in counterfeit cash.
Sonic catches the doctor in the Special Zone, grabs the ring and throws it into the ocean. Eddie escapes from Robotnik’s dungeon, swears he is going straight and hands back the coin, along with the professor’s underwear.
