Synopsis

From his private launch pad, Cape Robotnik, the doctor sends Scratch and Grounder on a rocket mission to mine two tonnes of power crystals from the asteroid belt. Tails overhears the plan, and he and Sonic slip aboard just before lift-off.
Grounder breaks the controls almost at once, and while the robots can do without air, Sonic and Tails cannot. Sonic lures the robots to the back of the ship, steers the rocket to an abandoned space station, and the heroes set off to find a way home.
The station has a resident, though: a purple space monster that hunts everyone aboard. Stranded, chased and with Robotnik trying to blow them out of the sky, Sonic builds an escape craft out of Scratch and Grounder’s spare parts, and everybody makes it back to Mobius.
