Synopsis

Tails is injured when he falls out of a tree during a scrap with Scratch and Grounder, and a guilt-stricken Sonic vows it will never happen again. His solution: find Tails a proper family. Tails insists he does not need one, but off they go, the fox bandaged up in a wagon.
The first candidates are a pair of storks who manage to flood and set fire to their own house; the second is Sergeant Doberman, who treats the pair like raw recruits. Then a billboard appears with a baby picture of Tails, and a voice announces that his real parents have been looking for him.
The voice belongs to Scratch, hiding behind the sign, and the loving fox parents waiting at the address are Robotnik’s robots. Sonic leaves Tails with them, sad to say goodbye – then realises the truth and races back to rescue him, discovering that the only family Tails needs is the one he already has.
