Synopsis

The Chaos Control on the ARK has pulled more of Sonic’s world to Earth, Flickies included, and the President asks Chuck for advice – which worries Chris, who fears the government may yet take Sonic away. Knuckles shares the doubt: one minute humans love the newcomers for being unique, he grumbles to Rouge, the next they want them locked up.
Among the new arrivals is the Chaotix Detective Agency – Vector the Crocodile, Espio the Chameleon and Charmy Bee – on a job for a mysterious client. Spotting Sonic in a newspaper, they follow the trail to the Thorndyke mansion, and after a mix-up over who is a kidnapper the client steps forward: Vanilla the Rabbit, Cream’s mother. Cream runs into her arms, and Vanilla thanks everyone for looking after her.
Eggman, watching from his Egg Mobile, has plans of his own. He tells the President he has turned over a new leaf and, to make amends for the Eclipse Cannon, rebuilds the Moon’s missing half in metal: the Egg Moon. Even Sonic is assured that it is genuine. It isn’t.
