Synopsis

Sonic and Tails sneak into Robotnik’s fortress to rescue the doctor’s longest-serving prisoner. Behind the bars of a gloomy dungeon they find Lucas, so hairy after thirty years in a cell that Tails takes him for a monster. Sonic breaks him out, fights off the guards and turns Robotnik’s rotten-egg bomb back on its sender.
By the river, Lucas explains why he was locked away: years ago, he and young Ivo Robotnik were rivals for the same sweetheart, Lucinda, and Robotnik took his revenge on the winner. All Lucas wants now is to find her again.
Robotnik will stop at nothing to keep them apart, up to and including proposing to Lucinda himself. To his delight, the bride accepts – until the veil comes off at the altar and Sonic is underneath. Lucas and Lucinda are reunited, and Sonic, naturally, is the best hedgehog.
