Synopsis

Captain Rescue was a great superhero once. These days he is slow, out of shape and very keen to help, and when Scratch and Grounder start emptying Hill Top Village with sneeze bombs, his help mostly trips Sonic up.
The robots are only clearing the way. Robotnik’s real prize is a force field, powered by a solar satellite he can reach from the village, big enough to cover Mobius and keep Sonic out for good. After one blunder too many Sonic tells the old hero to stay out of it, and the doctor, all flattery, gets the hurt Captain to help trap Sonic inside the unbreakable field – then shows his prisoner off to the village.
It is Tails who gets Captain Rescue back on his feet while the robots stomp the village in giant machines. The Rescue Rocket carries Sonic into space, where spinning in the thin air shatters the field; back on the ground the hero’s gadgets help finish off Robotnik, and Sonic says sorry for writing him off.
