Synopsis

Nobody in Robotnik’s fortress is safe when his mother visits. Fresh from yet another breakout from the Mobius Home for Really Bizarre Mothers, Momma Robotnik informs her son that today is her special day and that she expects a gift: Mobius National Park, flattened. Her son obliges with Scratch, Grounder and a squad of tree-felling robots.
Sonic reprogrammes the robots to turn on their own side, and a game-show-host disguise sends the next attack, on a town, down the drain. Two failures are enough for Momma. If her boy cannot give her anything, she will give herself Sonic.
Her bait is Tails. A tearful tale about a baby Robotnik who turned bad after losing his teddy, Fuzzy Wuzzy, sends the soft-hearted fox to fetch the bear from the old family home in Chaos City, where the “teddy” turns out to be a four-armed, two-headed monster. Sonic turns an electric fence against it, and a phone call to the Home has Momma carted away, to her son’s undisguised relief.
