Synopsis

Robotnik’s robots are attacking the city of Popodopolis when they are suddenly ordered to retreat, and the doctor pops up on the city’s giant screen to declare that he is retiring. Sonic and Tails do not buy it, but when they visit the fortress, Robotnik invites them in for tea and takes his shirt off to mop up a spill, which is enough to send them running.
Bored without a villain to fight, the heroes are presented by Mayor Fumfer with the city key and an all-expenses-paid trip to an island resort. As soon as they leave, the mayor reveals that he is a Robotnik robot.
Every activity on the island is a trap: a canoe trip that ends in a huge waterfall, bungee jumps, hang gliding, skydiving. Sonic takes each one in his stride, with Scratch and Grounder bearing the brunt of their own handiwork, and the doctor’s retirement ends as abruptly as it started.
