Synopsis
After the plasma-cloud battle, Sonic’s crew is lying low in a stretch of space where electromagnetic waves blind the Metarex scanners. At a gathering of the Metarex, Dark Oak vows to hunt them down with Eggman’s help – but Eggman is uneasy. If the Metarex wreck everything, he asks, who will be left to rule? Black Narcissus tells him to pick a side.
The Chaotix, meanwhile, never made it home. Their ship came apart and crash-landed on a small planet, and to pay for spare parts Vector has turned their detective office into a café, complete with piano. When the Blue Typhoon’s crew needs somewhere to hide, the café takes them in.
Then Eggman – now one of the Metarex commanders – walks in with Decoe and Bocoe, asking after Sonic, offering a reward and trying to pin up wanted posters. Vector throws them out and keeps his guests’ secret, though once the heroes have moved on, the doctor gets a meal on the house.
