Synopsis

With the Blue Typhoon repaired and upgraded, the crew gambles on a shortcut through a galactic corridor to reach the Metarex sooner, though no one can say what the crossing will do to Chris. Inside, the distortions are so violent that everyone blacks out, and cosmic dust finds its way into the ship.
They come round to find that the Typhoon has carried on alone and is now tangled in space roots. Sonic cuts it free with Chris’ latest invention, the Power Shoes, only for a row of giant pillars to block the way. Meanwhile Dark Oak’s commanders squabble over who gets to finish off the stranded heroes, and Dark Oak picks Yellow Zelkova.
Zelkova, the strongest of the four, is too tough for Sonic and Knuckles to dent. So they trick him into slamming into the Blue Typhoon, which knocks the ship loose; a shot from the Sonic Driver then drives him off – beaten but not destroyed – and clears the pillars from the ship’s path.
