Synopsis

Locked in an underwater cell on Prison Island, Sonic is simply taking a nap. Outside, Eggman jams the island’s communications and draws G.U.N.’s fire, while Shadow plants a bomb to destroy the base and Rouge goes after the Chaos Emeralds kept there.
Tails and Amy arrive in the X-Tornado, and Amy reaches Sonic’s cell, where he explains that surrendering was the fastest way to learn about Shadow. Rouge finds three Emeralds but ends up shut in the vault with the bomb counting down, while Sonic and Shadow battle it out.
Shadow uses Chaos Control to get to Rouge, but Chris, who has come looking for Sonic with Mr. Tanaka, grabs him thinking he is Sonic and is carried along. Chris’ pleading stirs Shadow’s memories of Maria, and at the last second he teleports all three of them out as the island explodes – leaving Mr. Tanaka sure that Chris is dead.
