Synopsis

The Emerald Coast has just opened, and Amy, Tails, Cream and Cheese can’t wait to splash about near the Thorndykes’ beach villa. Chris must stand in for his mother at the opening party of the Hotel de Blanc, and Sonic refuses to come – he can’t swim and wants nothing to do with the sea. Amy has a surprise for him: a charm she believes will help him swim.
Eggman crashes the day by flattening the new hotel and putting up a theme park of his own. Sonic does turn up, and the doctor plays on his weakness: an octopus robot, E-38 Octoron, wraps him in its tentacles and drags him underwater. Amy leaps from the X-Tornado and smashes the tentacle, and a Ring from Tails lets Sonic finish the robot off.
Then a snake-like robot made of smaller Quizon machines rears up and shatters Amy’s charm. Heartbroken and furious, she demolishes it and knocks Eggman into the sea, but ends up in the water herself, and Sonic dives in after her. When Amy comes round she cries over the lost charm and admits it was for Sonic – who is last seen on the beach with the charm, repaired.
