Synopsis

After seeing off a squad of Buzz Bombers, Sonic reads in the paper that the town of McGuffin has declared Sonic Appreciation Day. He and Tails head over, unaware that the newsstand’s dog has tipped off a mysterious voice that is planning to steal Sonic’s famous hi-tops.
In McGuffin, Sonic meets Harry the Hawker, a parrot selling Sonic merchandise who at first takes him for a kid in a mask. By the next morning, the sneakers are gone – and without them Sonic cannot run, because the friction would burn his feet.
So the fastest thing alive has to slow down and think. Playing detective, Sonic and Tails follow the clues through a town full of suspects, unmask the thief and get the shoes back in time to stop Robotnik’s attack on the village.
