Sonic, Tails and even Scratch and Grounder are all reading the new issue of Crack Ups, whose star strip casts Robotnik as an egg-shaped Humpty Dumpty. The doctor is not amused, and the cartoonist, a wacky bird named Sketch Lampoon, becomes the first inmate of Robotnik’s brand-new escape-proof dungeons.

Sonic’s plan is simple: get caught, then break out with Sketch. But Robotnik has prepared a cell just for him, packed with lasers, spears and a spiked ball that attack anything hedgehog blue. While Scratch and Grounder stand guard, Robotnik forces Sketch to redraw him as a muscle-bound hero.

It falls to Sonic to talk, trick and race his way out of the blue-seeking cell, rescue the cartoonist and leave the doctor once again the butt of the joke.

Key Moments

  • Robotnik as Humpty Dumpty – the joke that starts it all.
  • A prison cell that targets anything hedgehog blue.
