Synopsis

The President tells the nation that the two worlds are merging, and Tails and Chuck race to finish the machine that will send Sonic’s friends home. For Chris it is the last day with Sonic, and it starts with a morning run together by the pool.
At school, the day is interrupted when an army of flying robots sweeps over Station Square: an army colonel, defying the President, has sent them after Eggman. Sonic ends up rescuing the doctor, who takes off in his newest flying fortress, the Grand Egg Imperial, and fights the robots himself.
That evening Tails powers the portal with energy drawn from the Space Colony ARK, and the goodbyes begin. Knuckles, Rouge, Tails, Vanilla, Cream, Cheese and Amy step through one by one before the power can fail. Chris says goodbye to Sonic too, but doesn’t mean it – and with Sonic one step from the gate, Chris runs over and switches it off.
