ManicMaxSleet & Dingo’s scam
Underground Masquerade is episode 5 of Sonic Underground, DiC’s 1999 cartoon about Sonic, Sonia and Manic, the hedgehog triplets of Queen Aleena. It is number 5 in production order – the order TF1 first showed the series in France, where it premiered on 20 January 1999 – and it was the fifth episode to air in the United States, on 3 September 1999. It was written by Rick Merwin, and its song is “Let the Good Times Roll”.
Synopsis

Sleet and Dingo have a scheme of their own. They will collect the tribute the Duke of Velcronia owes Robotnik, keep it, and make sure somebody else takes the blame. Their chosen fall guy is Manic, who has just run into Max and the gang of young thieves he grew up with.
Manic’s reunion with his old crowd worries Sonic and Sonia, who fear their brother is sliding back into his thieving ways. The villains exploit the moment and steer Manic and his friends towards the crime, and when the money vanishes the Swatbot police know exactly whom to arrest.
Max proves a true friend: he catches the real culprits on tape. With a little help from a mysterious cloaked figure who has been watching from the shadows, the evidence comes out, Manic is cleared, the Duke keeps his money, and it is Sleet and Dingo who are handcuffed and marched away.
The Song: “Let the Good Times Roll”
“Let the Good Times Roll” is one of the band’s party numbers, and a cloaked figure in the crowd is watching when the band plays it.
