Bokkun plays the crew a message Eggman recorded as a Metarex battleship closed in on him: his enemies have rumbled him, and their whole fleet is massing at coordinates 000, where a thousand-year legend says night and day will become one. In true Bokkun style, the message then blows up the screen.

Tails reveals a hidden second bridge, and the battered Blue Typhoon lifts off from the planet Green Gate without Shadow – until the Chaotix offer him a ride and crash-land inside Dark Oak’s flagship. At 000 the crew takes on Black Narcissus and Pale Bayleaf, Chris frees the captive Eggman, and Dark Oak breaks up his own ship to stop Shadow.

Then the planet Aquarius appears and the “forestation” begins: fed by a Planet Egg and the seven Emeralds, Dark Oak, Narcissus and Bayleaf merge into a three-headed tree dragon, the Final Mova. It cripples the Blue Typhoon, and when Sonic refuses to join the Metarex, a geyser washes him down into the planet’s glowing waters.
