Synopsis
Rouge the Bat has been busy since Chaos Control dropped her on Earth: she is the mystery jewel thief baffling Station Square, leaving a “Thank you” card at every crime scene. The President, who wants Sonic’s help against Eggman, baits a trap with what is supposed to be a Chaos Emerald – and it is Rouge, not Sonic, who flies into it.
Instead of a cell, she gets an offer: work as a government agent and her record is wiped clean. Rouge accepts, reckoning the job will keep her close to any news of the Emeralds, and she is partnered with Topaz, an agent who trusts her not one bit. Their first assignment is to sneak into Eggman’s fortress.
Deep inside, the robot E-70 Noizi pins them down with ear-splitting noise until Rouge tears off the bomb clamped to her wrist and jams it into the robot’s speaker. Topaz presses the trigger, Rouge carries her clear of the blast, and Eggman arrives just in time to be caught in it. Back home, Chris has brought his school friend Danny to meet Sonic and the gang.
