Synopsis
Fresh from wiping out a fleet, a giant Metarex warship receives new orders: destroy Sonic and Dr. Eggman. On the Crimson Egg, Shadow is puzzled that Sonic and his friends seemed to know him, because he remembers nothing about them – and Eggman would rather keep it that way.
The warship strikes the Crimson Egg first. Shadow goes out to fight but collapses when his unregulated power gives out, and Rouge escapes just before a missile appears to finish the ship. She sends pictures of the battle to the Blue Typhoon, and Cosmo knows the warship at once: it destroyed the ship that carried her people. She begs her friends to flee, but they stand and fight.
The duel is even until Sonic, Amy and Knuckles sneak outside and stuff debris into its missile tubes. When the warship tries to ram the Typhoon, Shadow blasts it aside – Eggman had faked his ship’s destruction – and he and Sonic wreck its engine room. As it tries to self-destruct, Shadow freezes time around it and the Sonic Driver finishes it.
