Synopsis
The Blue Typhoon catches two Metarex making off with a Planet Egg from a jungle world. Sonic, fired from the Sonic Driver, destroys the larger of the pair – but the shot carries him deep into the jungle, where he lands on top of Eggman and runs off with the Chaos Emerald the doctor has just found.
Tails and Knuckles take the X-Tornado to look for him and leave Amy behind, so she forms a search party of her own: Cosmo, who wants the Planet Egg back, plus Cream and Cheese, who would rather not stay alone. The surviving Metarex, the hulking King Ape, catches the girls twice, but they slip away with the Planet Egg.
Everyone meets up in the jungle, Eggman included, and he takes back the Emerald. Then the Planet Egg reacts and giant vines tie up heroes and villain alike. Chris answers their call for help, and Sonic uses the Emerald’s power to spin free, rides a vine down on his grind shoes and beats Eggman. With the Planet Egg home, the vines let go, King Ape falls, and the crew now holds two Emeralds.
