A self-styled scientist called Titus arrives in Robotropolis with the De-Roboticizer, a machine he says can reverse roboticization. In a city full of roboticized friends and family, it sounds like a miracle. At a public demonstration Sonia sees a chance to restore someone she loves.

Sonic thinks it is a con and starts digging. Robotnik kidnaps Titus, makes him admit that his machine is a fake, and offers to spare him on one condition: the “healer” must use his device as a Roboticizer instead.

Sonic uncovers the deal just as Sonia is about to step into the machine, and pulls her out before she becomes Robotnik’s next victim. The band’s song for the episode is named after the band itself: “We’re the Sonic Underground”.

The Song: “We’re the Sonic Underground”

“We’re the Sonic Underground” is the band’s statement of who they are, in an episode about a false hope.
