Synopsis
The Thorndykes are hosting a party, and the guest list is a nightmare for a family hiding talking animals: Chris’ teacher Mr. Stewart invites himself, hoping for Lindsey’s autograph, and Chris’ favourite uncle is coming too – Lindsey’s brother, none other than Sam Speed, the cop who chased Sonic on his first night.
With Nelson and Lindsey about to head back to work, Chris is unhappy, and Cream, who badly misses her own mother, is quietly picking flowers to make crowns. During the party her homesickness spills over and she runs off in tears in front of the guests – and Mr. Tanaka has to pass it all off as his ventriloquism act.
By the end of the night the secret is half out: Ella, the family’s chef and housekeeper, is let in on it along with Mr. Tanaka, the butler. Chris fears Cream is cross with him, until she hands him a flower crown – something she only gives to people she likes.
