Remember the heyday of videogame magazines in the 90's? there would be weekly coverage of every system, every game from multiple different sources. As the days of the intraweb began to reign and more and more people would get their gaming info off the net, the videogame magazine industry began to dilute. Initially a few of the less popular magazines covering a system would drop off, allowing the few more popular ones to remain. Years later even these popular magazines were confined to the history books.

As I write this in 2017, I can safely say it very much isn't the same, with most things being online now. Clean, professional coverage from professional gaming sites who make it their business model to deliver prompt news coverage and info - while this is great and has it's place, I hold a special place in my heart for these retro magazines and the magical feeling it was to discover the secrets from your favourite games in their tips columns etc, to find out what game was due out next in your favourite series. I'm pretty sure I'm not alone in that sentiment, so thats why I have taken it upon myself to curate as many old videogame magazines as I can and extract all of the oldskool Sonic the Hedgehog previews, reviews, guides, tips and general misc stuff out of them for your viewing pleasure.
